Joe and the Ironborn team did a great job putting a bathroom in my basement from scratch! They were very prompt and got the job done quickly, and it came out amazing! If there was ever any sort of concern or decision to be made, Joe always made sure my requests were met or adjusted to help my vision come to life. They even accomodated the project to fit a laundry room attachment and they also took care of replacing my old electric work down there. Just had to write this review. During that deep snowfall recently, I was at my wits end on how to get dug out. All my reaching out warranted nothing. Then I found IRONBORN. Within an hour a crew showed up, dug me out and saved the day. I am forever grateful for their help. I will be sure to call on them for future needs.

I hired Ironborn Contracting for a series of major home renovations, including full window replacement, relocating and replacing the front door with a double door, brick infilling the existing front door opening, removing a spiral staircase and infilling the opening, and building a new traditional staircase. This also involved reworking bedroom and closet walls to extend an existing hallway. The quality of the work was excellent throughout. The new windows and doors are a significant upgrade, both in appearance and function. The installation crew replaced 11 windows in one day, and my place was as clean when they left as when they got there. The double front door required removing an existing bay window and brick, and adding new framing. The new door completely changes the look of the house and gives it a more finished, welcoming feel. The staircase work was especially impressive. The removal of the old spiral stairs and the construction of a new, traditional staircase was handled seamlessly. The layout changes to accommodate the new stairs were well thought out, and the final result looks like it was part of the original design. Everything ties together cleanly, and the overall space now feels much more functional. Ironborn’s crew was professional, and the work was completed in a reasonable amount of time considering the scope of this project. I am very happy with the final results and would confidently recommend Ironborn Contracting for similar construction projects.

Hiring Ironborn Contracting was hands down the best decision we made during our home renovation. Joe and his team did an outstanding job remodeling our entire house, which included a brand-new bathroom, a finished basement with a separate laundry area, a full revamp of our kitchen, and a full refresh throughout the rest of the home—new paint, updated doors and hardware, and all new baseboards and trim. We received several quotes before starting, but no other company compared to the professionalism and transparency Ironborn offered. From the beginning, they provided a detailed, itemized estimate. Anytime we requested a change, Joe clearly explained the additional costs up front, which helped us avoid unexpected charges in price. Living through a full remodel can be stressful, but Joe made the process much easier. He was always communicating with us, gave us daily updates, and promptly texted photos or notes if questions or concerns came up. He made sure we were part of every decision. The crew’s attention to detail was exceptional. I’m very particular, and I truly have no complaints about the quality of the work. You can tell they genuinely care about the craftsmanship they deliver. We had a terrific experience working with Ironborn for multiple projects - roof replacement, siding painting, and bathroom remodel. The initial consult with Joe was a breath of fresh air - no "hours-long consultation followed by a hard sell" like some companies do. Just collaborative dialogue, followed by a quick turnaround on a very reasonably-priced proposal, and we were off and running. The roof was scheduled quickly, and ended up being done in a day. Nothing was missed - flashing, vent caps, sealant, and not a single screw/nail/fastener was left in the yard or driveway. The siding was painted over the course of two days and looks terrific - they even sealed some gaps before painting, which I was not expecting...definitely above and beyond. The bathroom was almost a total replacement - The walls came down to the studs, the tub was replaced with a walk-in shower with tile walls, and the vanity, fixtures, and floor were all replaced. Some companies will try to pigeonhole you into one of their handful of solutions, but not Ironborn. We got to pick exactly what we wanted for fixtures and finishes, and the attention to detail and care taken with everything (including the less-visible plumbing and electric work) was impressive. It was very clear from the onset that Joe's primary concern was that the end result was something that met or exceeded our expectations. You really get more than you pay for with these folks - they didn't cut any corners, everything came in on budget, and we are more than satisfied. You can tell Joe takes pride in his work, and Ironborn really delivers.
